Unknown Artist
Not every fine picture comes with a name. This page gathers the works in our collection whose makers were never recorded: anonymous painters of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, unnamed illustrators, and the skilled engravers and colourists behind antique botanical and Egyptian plates. Each one was chosen for the quality of the work itself.
