Alfred Sisley
1839 – 1899
Alfred Sisley was one of the founders of Impressionism and the most devoted landscape painter of the group. Born in Paris to English parents, he painted the rivers, roads and villages around Paris with a gentle touch and a lifelong love of sky and changing light.
